Blue Tiger Salons was created by Mariah one year ago.
It is a "salon" which she curates each month, centered around the reading of a play.
Mariah selects the piece, gathers together a group of actors as well as a director. The ensemble then rehearses the play and shares it with an invited audience.
The material chosen has spanned classics like Tennessee Williams' Streetcar Named Desire and Ted Hughes' adaptation of Jean Racine's Phaedra to modern pieces such as Rabbit Hole by David Lindsay Abaire and Sam Shepherd's Fool for Love. Blue Tiger also branched into original work and recently read a series of one act plays written by Dan Berkowitz for all women.
